During their journey, Ervin encounters some of the ancient snow monsters. These creatures have existed for thousands of years, originating from a time predating the age of heroes. They were created through powerful and untested magic. Over time, the snow monsters turned into the most feared entities in the north, posing a threat to all living beings.
Ervin and other members of the northern kingdoms travel from one kingdom to another, persuading them to join their cause in the forthcoming war against the white monsters and their armies of wights.
